ETHEL J. PICKARD
Ethel J. Pickard, 77, of Gladwin, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin after a long illness.
Born Feb. 14, 1921 in Sherman Township, Gladwin County, she lived in Gladwin County most of her life. She was a homemaker.
Ethel married Richard R. Pickard, Feb. 19, 1939 in Sherman Township. She was a member of the R.L.D.S. Church in Gladwin.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. and wife Sharon of Midland, and Dennis R. and friend Brenda Christian of Roscommon; two brothers, Leonard Goheen of Gladwin, and Maynard Goheen of Detroit; four sisters, Veda Hay of Belleview, Dorothy Smith of Midland, Edna Matthews of Lansing, and Lillian Simpson of Branson, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard M. in 1966, and Gary D. in 1998.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel, with Elder Donn Pendleton officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 12-2/1998
