002528 Goheen - Eleanor Virginia Goheen, A Retired High School Math Teacher, Died Peacefully In Her Sleep, Monday, April 19, 2004. Eleanor Was Born On October 10, 1911, In Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, To Samuel Boots And Eleanor Kyner Boots. Mrs. Goheen Was A Graduate Of Ridley Park High School, In 1929; Shippensburg State Teachers College And University Of Pennsylvania, Where She Was A Member Of Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. Goheen Was Married To Gilbert E. Goheen Former Associate Director Of The Southern Regional Research Laboratory, Department Of Agriculture In New Orleans, Louisiana. Mrs. Goheen Taught At Saint Martin's Episcopal School From 1960 - 1975. She Was An Active And Long-Time Member Of Oak Park Presbyterian Church In New Orleans And Most Recently A Member Of Covington Presbyterian Church. She Was A Resident Of Christwood Retirement Community In Covington, La. Mrs. Goheen Is Survived By Her Three Children: Virginia Juedes Of Bogalusa, La, Elizabeth House Of Chapel Hill, North Carolina And William Goheen Of Goshen, Indiana; And Her Five Grandchildren: Russell House, Rebecca House Wood, Caleb Goheen, Gloria Goheen, And Joshua Goheen. Relatives And Friends Of The Family Are Invited To Attend A Funeral Service On Wednesday, April 21, 2004 At 2:00 Pm In The Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel. 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (In Metairie Cemetery.) Internment To Follow In Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
Visitation Will Be From 1:00 Pm Until Service Time. In Lieu Of Flowers Donations To Go To The John Lohman Fund At The Christwood Retirement Community, 100 Christwood Blvd., Covington La., 70433 In Mrs. Goheen's Name. Times Picayune 04-21-2004
