Miriam A. Goheen, 82, of New Bethlehem, died on Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2003, at her son's residence where she had recently been living in Distant, following a lengthy illness.
Born May 29, 1920, in New Bethlehem, she was a daughter of Edward Clyde and Annabelle (Martz) Shilling.
Mrs. Goheen was married to James Grant Goheen. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1996.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Mrs. Goheen was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Goheen and his wife Debra of Distant, and two grandchildren, Jamie L. Goheen and Robert J. Goheen, both of Distant.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Goheen was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Shilling, and two sisters, Geraldine Carlson and Josephine Kunselman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem with the Rev. James Swogger of the Oakland Church of God in Distant officiating.
Interment followed in Leatherwood Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
