Daughter of Reuben Vaughn (1849-1894) and Mary Elizabeth Reece (1852-1930), Beckey was 11 years old when her mother married Robert Bruce Cave on March 13,1892 in Wood County, TX and the 7 Vaughn children joined 12 Cave children on Robert's farm. Within 10 years 3 of the Vaughn and 3 of the Cave kids intermarried.

Mrs, Cave a native of Alabama, died Saturday unexpectionaly in Gilmer, She was a member of the Lakewood Baptist church of Garland. Her late Husband Robert B Cave died in June 1956.
Survivers include five daughters, Mrs. Eula Morris of Plano, Mrs Ether Young of Commerce, Mrs, Imogene Canaday of Quitman, Mrs Kathy Rogers of Dallas, and Mrs Ruth Wallace of Gilmer; five sons, L H Cave of Garland, Marshall and A J Cave both of Dallas, Mack Cave of Ft Stockton, and Arlin Cave of Midland; three sisters Mrs. Elmer Deuson and Mrs. Donnie Wonderwood both of Quitman, and Mrs Lona Denson of Elgin, Okla, one brother J M Vaughn, of Quitman.
