Notes
Birth
The 1810 census had Daniel between 26 and 45. The 1820 had him between over 45.The 1830 census between 60 and under 70.
I would say that Daniel was born close to 1770.
Census
Sam'l is probably Simon Marburger with a family consisting of 3 males under 16 and one over 16, there are 8 females listed.Marriage
Daniel Marburger and Margaretha Meyer of Alsace dated 15 May 1796. Question arises: Is this the first of two marriages with Julianna the second marriage or is Julianna the middle name of Margaretha? With Margaretha the last child of Daniel, it was not uncommon to name a child after the first wife.Census
Two Marburger's are found in Manheim Township, Berks County during this census, Simon and Daniel. Daniel is between 26 and 45 years old with 3 males under 10 and a female betwee 16 and 26 years old. Simon is over 45 years with a female over 45, and 4 females between 10 and 15; and one male under 10, one male between 10 and 15 and one male between 16 and 25. It appears that the Daniel family is young and Simon family may be the parent family of this Daniel family. This Simon is probably the same generation as Daniel in Exeter Township.Religion
Sarah, dau of Matthias MEYER, born 12/15/1800; bapt 1/11/1801. Sponsors: Daniel MARBURGER and wife Margretha. It is known that Margretha' maiden name was Meyer. Matthias Meyer was listed near to them in the 1800 census. It may be possible that this Matthias is a sibling of Margretha.Religion
Daniel Marburger and wife Margaretha were sponsors to the baptism of Sarah the daughter of Matthias Meyer who was born December 15, 1800 and baptized 11 Jan 1801.Census
In 1810 the Daniel Marburger household consists of:2 males under 10
1 male 26 and under 45
1 females under 10
1 female 10 and under 16
1 female 26 and under 45.
Census
Daniel Mulburger haousehold has two males under 10 years, one male between 10 and 16 years, 1 male between 16 and 18 years, and 2 males between 16 and 26 years, and an adult male over 45 years; one female under 10 years, 2 females between 10 and 16 years, and one female over 45 years old. Four people are listed as being in agriculture. From the above listing it is safe to assume that the males over 10 years of age are envolved in agriculture. Catherine Mulburger is the female child under ten years of age and Margaret is between 10 and under 16 years old.
Census
Daniel Mulburger is enumerated next to Simon Mulburger. Daniel household consists of 1 male between 60 and 70 years of age, 3 males between 15 and twenty, and 2 males between ten and 15 years old. The females consist of one female between 50 and 60 years old, 2 females between 30 and 40 years and 1 female under 5 years of age.The two older people are probably the parents. The youngest female under 5 years old is probably not their child. This child could possibly be the child of a parent(s) living in the household. Could this be Catherine the child of Daniel and Catherine, she would be 2 years old at this time. The problem with this is that Daniel is not enumerated as between 20 and 30 years old, unless he was about to become 20.
Info
I have chosen this Daniel as the one who moved to Centre County. There is proof that his wife is Julianna Mayer the probably daughter of a neighbor of Ludwig, by the baptism certificate of Margetha Marburger in Centre County. (original in possession of Janice McEchoe of Centre County).Endnotes
