Funeral services for Charles G. Durant, 75, Andrews Street Road, Massena, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
Mr. Durant died Thursday morning, February 9, 1989 at the Massena Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient five days.
Surviving are his wife, Mae; two sons, Charles Jr. of St. Regis Falls, Raymond E. of Liverpool; five grandchildren; one great grandchild. A son, Gerald, died May 17, 1956.
He was born July 9, 1913 in Bombay, son of Frank and Melvina Monique Durant. He was educated in Massena schools and married Mae Miller on January 9, 1938 at Sacred Heart Church.
Mr. Durant began work at Alcoa in 1940 and retired in 1975 as a lathe operator.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the 25-Year club at Alcoa. He was also a booster member of Amvets Post 4, Massena.
