Nora L Alston, was born July 11, 1894, near Quitman, TX, in Wood County, the daughter of Robert Bruce Cave and Martha Elizabeth Logan.
She married Carl F. Alston, April 10, 1910, in Quitman. They moved to Sweetwater, TX, in 1926. Her husband died May 5, 1964.
The last few years of her life she lived with her son, and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Billie (Campbell) Alston, at Tyler, TX.
Nora died Jan. 6, 1978, at Tyler, and her funeral services were held in the McCoy Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. James Kinsey from the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Reba) McCain, Sweetwater, Mrs. Virgil (Katy) Posten, Sweetwater, Mrs. Vada Wagner, Hobbs, NM, Mrs. Imogene Ross of Dallas, and Mrs. Luella Cox of Breckenridge, TX; three sons, Richard, Houston, TX, Carl F., Sweetwater, and Cecil, Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Henry; and three daughters, Evelyn, Mattie, and Bonnie.
