Stroke Proves Fatal to Lifelong Resident of the County-- Had been in ill Health for Many Years--- Funeral Rites will be held on Thursday.
DeLos Gleason Albright, native of Boone County and life-long resident of Belvidere died at his home, 1225 Union avenue, at 5:46 o'clock Monday evening from the effects of a stroke of paralysis suffered last Friday. His health has been poor for the past six years.
He was born in Spring township, May 4, 1862, the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Albright, and on May 10, 1887 was married to Miss Hittie Carpenter, of Belvidere, the home being made here. Mrs. Albright died July 4, 1891 and one daughter of this union survives, Mrs. Hazel Stray, of Harvard. A son died in infancy.
On Jan. 31, 1893, he was married to Miss N. Roselle Clark, of this city.
Mr. Albright was the last member of a family of seven. He was a member of Boone cam, M. W. [Woodsmen] A. For several years he operated a farm and for a considerable period was employed by the C. & N. W. railroad.
He was a man of genial disposition and dependable character, holding the confidence and respect of a wide acquaintance.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, the Rev. Arthur R. Oates officiating, and interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
