Obituary:C. F. Goble, Pioneer of Ellis County, Dies
Ferris, Ellis Co., Texas. Feb 21 - C. F. Goble, 77, pioneer citizen of Ferris, died here Tuesday morning. He came with his parents to Texas in 1857 and settled near Lancaster in Dallas County.
He leaves his wife, one son, Clayton Goble of Ferris, and four daughters, Mrs W. M. Slagle of Austin, Miss Effie Goble a teacher in the public schools of Dallas and Misses Lillian and Hazel Goble of Ferris, three brothers, L Goble of Anaheim, Cal.; D. S. Goble of Crisp and R. S. Goble of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. a the first Presbyterian Church conducted by the pastor, Dr. L. B. Gray. assisted by the Rev. P. C. Scott, pastor of the First Baptist Church Burial will be by the Odd Fellows in Part Cemetery at Ferris.
