The funeral was Sept. 17, at First Reformed Church, Randolph, with the Rev. John Brouwer officiating. Burial was in Friesland Cemetery.
Posthuma was born March 4, 1922 at Randolph, the son of John and Clara Posthuma. He was married to Winnie De Vries Aug. 30, 1944 in Randolph.
He farmed in the Markesan and Beaver Dam area and worked at Monarch Range Co., Beaver Dam.
Survivors include his widow; six sons, Elton, Waupun; Jerry, Jeffrey, Bobby, Duane and Kevin, Beaver Dam; a daughter, Gladys, Horicon; five sisters, Agnes Schmidt, Fox Lake; Grace Fietz, Jeanette Tjepkema, Sylvia Smith and Clarine Buteyn, Waupun; five brothers, Alvin, Carl and Clarence, Randolph; Jake, Waupun; and Jim, Fox Lake; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children.
