Sjouke Jans Dijkstra

SJOUKE DYKSTRA DIES MONDAY:
Sjouke Dykstra, 81, a long time resident of Columbus hospital early Monday morning, March 9, after a long illness. He resident at 156 N. Campbell Street.
He was born in Holland on May 20, 1882 and came to the United States as a young man. He married the fromer Grace Westover in 1909 and before coming to Columbus the couple farmed at Fall River and Randolph.
Mr. Dykstra was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving him are his wife, four sons, Clifford, Randolph, Claude, Fall River and Bernard and Edward of Columbus; one daughter, Helen, Mrs. Edward Nelson, Milwaukee, 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dean Schmidt officiated and interment was in Randolph Cemetery.
The Jones funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
