DEATH: JOHN SENECHAL SR.By  Deseret NewsSept 18, 1990, 1:00am

John Senechal Sr. died September 16, in a Price Hospital.
Born August 31, 1905 Chickopee, Kansas. Son of Henry and Felice Bury Senechal. Married Elizabeth Bostich on April 3, 1926 in Giraurd, Kansas.Member of the Catholic Church, the last of a family of 12 children. He came to Utah in 1928 from the coalfields of Southeast Kansas where he began coalmining along side his father when he was 14 years old, first as a mule driver and later as a motor man in haulage. After 52 years of mining, he retired in 1971 from Kaiser Steel Coalmine at Sunnyside. Retired member UMWA Local #9958. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Kennilworth; daughter, Mrs. Henry (Nadine) Skriner, Spring Glen; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren whom he cherished dearly as they were the joy of his life. Also survived by a step-brother, Joe Azamber and half-sister, Phyllis Renn, both of Pittsburg, Kansas; numerous neices and nephews. Preceded in death by a son John Senechal Jr.
Funeral Mass Thursday 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church, inHelper. Vigil service Wednesday evening 7 p.m. Mitchel Chapel where friends may call Wednesday and Thursday prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
