DEATH OF PORT HENSLEY

"Uncle" Port Hensley, a widely known resident of Searcy County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Granville Smith, six miles northeast of Marshall, Wednesday, January 7th. Deceased was 86 years of age. Among the children who survive him are P J Hensley, of Marshall; Mrs. James Reed of Point Peter, and Mrs. Granville Smith, of Rock Springs.

The funeral services were held at the Christian Church Thursday afternoon and interment took place in Marshall Cemetery.

Besides the immediate children, the deceased is survived by a number of other close relatives, among whom are two brothers, "Uncle" Perry Hensley and "Uncle" Ben Hensley, two old and well known residents of Searcy County.
