Ora was partially crippled with a bad hip. He lived in Millville NB, where he owned and operated a butcher shop, and peddled meat, fish, fruit and vegetables in the neighborhood. Ora and Eva had no children. However, Eva had four children by her previous marriage, who were raised by Ora. These were Jean, Madeline, Florence, and William, all surnamed Meade.
