Obituary: Rexford "Butch" Claude Hoffpauir, Jr., 50, of Evadale died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, Butch was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked with the Beaumont Fire Department and the City of Vidor. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Hoffpauir of Evadale; daughter, Crystal Antley and husband Chris of Evadale; granddaughter, Caitlyn Michele Antley of Evadale; sister, Lori Dodge Welch and husband Kent of Buna; brothers, David Hoffpauir of Beaumont and Michael Hoffpauir and wife Rachel of Vidor; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Rexford, Sr. and Myrtle Hoffpauir and a brother, Larry Hoffpauir. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle in Evadale under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna.
