James A. Garner, Sr., 77 of Chesterfield, died April 20, 1995. He was the widower of Martha Miller Garner and is survived by three children, James A. Garner, Jr., Kenneth L. Garner, and Glenda Garner Whitt; one brother, Franklin Garner; three sisters, Edna Bailey, Margaret McGinnis, and Martha Elliott; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. His remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where the family will receive friends Friday 6:00-9:00 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
