Burial

Obituary: Dolores Jean Hoffpauir, 79, of Sulphur, passed away on January 9, 2013 in her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013, 10 a.m., with Deacon Bud Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family received friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume visitation on Friday 8 a.m. until time of service. Dolores was born in Lake Charles and lived in Sulphur most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School in 1950. After graduating, she worked as a medical secretary 30 plus years for Dr. V.A. McCann and Dr. Anacleto Ordinario. Dolores was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur, a post member of American Business Women Association and the Catholic Daughters #1255. She loved ceramics, reading, dancing, singing, crossword puzzles and trivia. Dolores was also an Elvis fan. Dolores is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Hoffpauir of Sulphur; son Shelby Jayce Hoffpauir and wife, Julie, of Sulphur; daughter-in-law Margaret Hoffpauir of Sulphur; 11 grandchildren, Derek Hoffpauir, Nathaniel Hoffpauir, Lauren Hoffpauir, Maggie Hoffpauir, Chrystal Grooms and Tamara White, Laken Hoffpauir, Logan Hoffpauir, Daylan Hoffpauir, Donavan Hoffpauir and Katelyn Hoffpauir; five great grandchildren; brothers Donald and wife, Karla, of TX, and Kenneth Corkran of Sulphur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jearald "JD" Hoffpauir; three sons, Jerry, Jeffery and Michael Hoffpauir; brother John "Burr" Corkan; and sister Audrey Hoffpauir.
