Nickname:<NICK> Marie BIOGRAPHY: Mike Rastatter Sr. remembers he r as rather sh ort woman who always (at least pretended to be) well br ed and just a little bet ter than everyone else. Mike still remember s the Sunday night, February 1964 d ebut of the Beatles on the Ed Sull ivan Show. Aunt Marie, who was living with t hem at the time, mad e a remark how ugly George Harrison's teeth were. Mike als o remember s that his sister Helen went to great lengths to upset Aunt Marie wh e never she could. Aunt Marie really drove niece Sally Rastatter mad d uring that period also. Mike recalls some hushed conversations betwee n his mother and fat her, while Aunt Marie was still alive, about an i nheritance. Nevertheless, Mik e remembers his mom Sally (and father J im) taking very good care of her Aunt Ma rie right up until her deat h (even though Aunt Marie drove them all crazy). Li ke her niece Jan e Kochenderfer, Mike recalls Sunday meals with Lynn and Marie G arrett , very proper affairs (Mike and JIm were coached by their mother prio r to arriving). The house was filled with knick-knacks - little thin gs that would break if you even looked at them! All the children tha t visited the house alway s felt as though they were under the watchfu ll eye of thier parents.
