Name Suffix:<NSFX> Jr. BIOGRAPHY: While attending grade school, Fe lix and his brother Bernard lived at the St. Vincent's Orphanage (whic h became Parmadale in 1925), apparently because their Dad (Felix Sr. ) could not provide for them, an d their Mom (Rose Cheney) couldn't a s well. In letters to his mother dated Oct ober 1886 and May 1887, Fe lix asks for knitted socks and tells her about a fair they attended a nd what he's being taught in school (he had very nice handwriti ng) . In another he reminds her to bring socks along with size three shoe s and suspenders. He mentions that he never, after a reminder from th e Mother Superi or, "forget to pray for you". He closes with "I wil l close my letter - Your Lo ving Son - Fealix" (note the misspelling) . Postage on the first class letter w as only three cents. The famil y recalls that both Felix and brother Bernard ha d fond memories of th eir time St. Vincents.
