Obituary: Reads in part: "...was born August 17, 1904, in Terre Haute ; departed this life, June 16, 1925, age 20 years, 9 months and 29 da ys. Beulah united w ith the Methodist Church at Millgrove in 1918, bu t because of poor health was n ot able to be baptized and taken into t he church. She is spoken by all who kne w her best as a true and obed ient girl. She was a young woman whose gracious w ays endeared her t o a host of friends. She was keenly interested in the activi ties o f the church and was faithful when her health permitted her to attend . S he was united in marriage with Cecil Steele at her father's hom e in Quincy on O ctober 25, 1924 and was only allowed to live 7 month s and 21 days after her mar riage. God knew best; we are not able t o understand why this blessed union sho uld be severed so soon, so you ng a life. But she began to see the beauties of Heaven - Heaven is ma de up of all ages - and she has gone just to be one more j ewel there . May all the loved ones be able to say, Thy will be done. Beulah s u ffered intense pain for more than two months. She bore it with great f ortitude . She was always glad to see her friends and it was an inspi ration to those wh o called to see her face so bright with that ever-p resent smile. Her room was filled with the aroma of beautiful flower s sent in by friends. Some time befor e she passed away, she asked he r father if she could get well. When told it wa s doubtful if she wou ld recover, she selected her songs and pallbearers. She t hen told the m more about the services, selected the minister, Rev. Kaylor, who wa s pastor when she united with the church and officiated at her marriag e. She was a member of the Eastern Star lodge. All was done to reli ve her that lovin g hands and medical skill could do. She has gone wh ere sorrow or death never c ome..."
