Manassah Tice

(Jan 24, 1796 - Feb 28, 1849)

BIOGRAPHY: Manassah received communion from the Zion Lutheran Church i n May 181 4 and on September 29, 1816. Manassah Tice served from Febr uary 13-28, 1815 in Captain William Currie's company of the Virgini a Militia. The Tice's lived in what is now the town of Floyd, in Flo yd County, Virginia. When the county sea t was formed in 1837, Manass ah gave five of his 228 acres for public use. He w as described in hi s widow's pension application as a "full blooded German". A member o f the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, he was buried in it's cemeter y after his death.
