Brazelton Noland

BIOGRAPHY: Brazelton Noland was one of the earliest settlers in Unio n Township, having entered land on which the Poor Farm is located, i n December 1824. Bein g a large, vigorous, and industrious man, he so on had the heavy forests cleared away and made it one of the pleasant est spots in the county. He was the fathe r of a large family, some o f whom became prominent in politics. When the India napolis and Belle fontaine railroad completed through this township, Brazelton b uil t a large flourmill at Chesterfield. He migrated to Riverside Califor nia in 1878.
