BIRTH: The supplemental Record of Marriage Transcripts indicates tha t her mothe r's maiden name was "Cacks". Her real maiden name may hav e been Norris (accord ing to the December 1938 obit below). Obituary : Terre Haute Star, December 1 938: Mrs. Eliza Query, 85 years old, di ed at 8:35 o'clock Saturday night at the residence of her daughter, M rs. Lillie Stites, R.R. 4 Terre Haute. She is sur vived by another da ughter, Mrs. Nellie Query and two sons, Thomas and John Mill er. The b ody was taken to the Thomas Funeral Home and Sunday evening was retur n ed to the Stites residence for funeral services at 1 o'clock Monda y afternoon w ith the Rev. H.H. Drake officiating. Burial was made i n Highland Lawn Cemetery . Obituary: That obituary was reprinted i n a local Owen County newspaper, an d this paragraph was added: The ab ove is from the Terre Haute Star of Monday. Mrs. Query maiden name wa s Norris. She was first married to James Miller of th is county. Lat er she married a man named Livingston and lastly, to Miles Query . Sh e lived in Owen County most of her life. One of her sons, Thomas Mill er, lives in Morgan Township and John Miller lives in Okanogan, Washin gton. A year ago, Mrs. Stites' husband as killed by a falling tree.
