Obituary: Vernia Dalton Rites Saturday At Clay City. Mrs. Vernia E. D alton, R. R. 1, Clay City, died Wednesday afternoon, February 13, i n Union Hospital at T erre Haute. She had been hospitalized the las t six weeks. She was born at Pol and (Jordan Village) the daughter o f Samuel Ulrich and Flora Yaryer Ulrich. He r husband, Virgil Dalto n preceded her in death in August 1978. She was a membe r of the Heri tage Baptist Church at Coal City. Survivors are her daughters Rac he l Persinger, Danville, Indiana, Betty Christy, Orange Park, Florida, G ladys H ayward, Greenville, Kentucky, Colleen South, Veedersburg, Pats y Downs, R. R. 1 Clay city, Ette Childs, Indianapolis, Garry Dalton, R . R. 1 Clay City; sister C lara Williams, Washington, California; brot hers Forrest Ulrich, Terre Haute, Cl eetus Ulrich, Washington, Califor nia, James Ulrich, Poland, Charles Ulrich, All endale, Michigan, and 1 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Sat urday at th e Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City. The Rev. Joe Dayhuff, a n Evangelist of Terre Haute, will officiate, and will be assisted b y the Rev. Fr ed Poett, pastor of the Heritage Baptist Church. Intern ment will be in the Sta wlley Cemetery near Bowling Green. Calling ho urs will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Frid ay.
