Cause of Death:<CAUS> flu and pneumonia Obituary: December 16, 194 3: Steven Ri chard, the five month old son of Clyde and Flona (Everly ) Query, died last Thur sday morning about 4 o'clock a victim of flu a nd pneumonia, being ill only a ve ry few days. The Query family live s on the Joe Brammer farm, in Lafayette Town ship. Survivors includ e the parents and the following brothers and sisters - F rances Esther , Virginia May, Clyde Jr., Jackie Eugene, Marvin Edward, Oran Ever l y and Paul Max. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'c lock at the Vandalia Methodist Church, in charge of Rev. Nice, and bur ial was made in t he Dayhuff cemetery in Lafayette Township. Obituary : An obituary in another local paper, dated December 30, 1943 reads i n part, "...he was the youngest of nine children...Little Stevie was o ur baby and his going leaves us with browen and empty hearts, but we k now he is safe in Our Father's keeping. We will hold him in our lov e and memory, hoping to meet when we are called home."
