Calvin Peter Tinsley 87 of Troy Mo. died early Saturday Morning August 4, 2012 at his home. He had been in failing health.
The son of Faye Ransom and Lora Etta (Williams) Tinsley, he was born October 29, 1924 in Greer Mo. On May 14, 1952 at Sale Arkansas, he married Betty Townsend who survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Deborah Hammett and husband Delane of Silex Mo. a son, Dennis Tinsley and wife Debby of Troy Mo. three grandchildren, Amanda Sitton and husband Nick, Adrienne Doebelin and husband Travis and Daniel Hammett and wife Holly and six great grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna,and Christian Doebelin one sister, Geneva Tinsley and two brothers, Van Tinsley and Ivan Tinsley.
Mr Tinsley attended Francis Howell High School. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For 30 years he was a mechanis for Boeing.
Cremation rites were recorded and a celebration of life will be held at 2;30p.m. Saturday August 11, 2012 at Ingersoll Chapel for Funeral and Cremation Services. 211 Boone Street Troy Mo.
