More About Samuel Barnes/Barron:
Witness: January 19, 1822, was listed in the will of David Lewis with his brother Gabriel as a witness in Pendleton District, South Carolina.

In March 2007, Beth Hillis, a descendent of Samuel Barron, made the following posting to the Barron Circle:

"It has not been proven that Samuel is a son of James, 1752 but I am working on another theory that he may be the son of Henry Barron and not James. I have never placed Samuel, 1785 with James, 1752 - at least not until I have the documented proof thereof. I have been tracing Samuel Barron for some time and have found several documents and census records indicating he could be son of old Henry [brother of James, 1752]. See my previous posts on Samuel Barron. Not saying that I am the authority on Samuel, but several other Barron researchers agree wwith me in that Samuel is probably not a son of James, 1752. I will post my findings once I feel comfortable with my research."
