Ethel Louise Barthle

Ethel Louise Barthle, 79, of McAlpin, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at Health Care Center of Lake City following an extended illness. A native of Greenfield, she had lived in McAlpin since 1982, moving there from Hialeah. Barthle was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Live Oak. She was predeceased by her husband, Ignatius J. Barthle in 2004, a brother, William Hancock and a sister, Mary Godwin. She was the daughter of the late Lewis H. Hancock and Mary E. Govreau Hancock.

Survivors include five sons, John L. Barthle Sr. of Hialeah, Edward C. Barthle of McAlpin, Tomas I. Barthle of West Palm, Theodore B. Barthle of Pembroke Pines and Paul A. Barthle of Hialeah; three daughters, Anastasi M. Bartle of Oldsmar, Mary C. Bush of Merritt Island and Lucy B. Duffy of Sunrise; a brother, Lewis H. Hancock of Zephyrhills; a sister, Matilda M. Stone of Inverness; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 14 in the sanctuary of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Father Richard Perko officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Branford. Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Suwannee Democrat
