Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany for Martha Wengler, who died Sunday morning at the Albany Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers praying at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Martha was born in Melrose to Joseph and Bernadette (Kerfeld) Moening. She married Paul Wengler on May 23, 1939 in Melrose. She was a member of Albany Senior Citizens, Christian Mothers, and Seven Dolors Catholic Church.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Pat Schleppenbach, Eden Valley, Lois (Robert) Wedl, Blooming-ton; grandchildren, Diane (Perry) Zahara, Paul (Cheryl) Schleppenbach, Bernie Sexton, Monte (Heather) Wedl, Marnie (Jeremy) DeKam; great-grandchildren, Emily Schleppenbach, Trevor and Katie Zahara, Derek and Corrie Catherine DeKam, and sister, Francis Budde.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and sisters and brothers, Ann Costello, Hilda Thull, Levina Thull, Al, Norbert, Leo and Albert Moening.
