JOSEPHINE BARTHLE
Miss Josephine Ann Barthle. 86, of St. Joseph, Floriida, passed away on May 30, 1971, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She was a native of St. Joseph and lived with her brother, Charles J. Barthle, from 1924-1963 in Groton. She moved back to Pasco County, Florida in 1963 following the death of her brother. Since then she made her home with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Barthle.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and is survived by two brothers, John of St. Joseph and Pete of Tampa, and many nieces and nephews. Her niece Mrs. Hildegarde Brown R.N. Of Aberdeen, S.D., was at her side.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, 1971, at Sacred Heart Church; internment followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were her nephews Benedict Barthle, Robert T. Barthle, Lewis H. Hancock, William B. Barthle, Andrew P. Barthle and Clement E. Petters.
Relatives attending from a distance were Hildegarde B. Brown of Aberdeen and Dr. Robert C. Barthle of Fairfax, VA. Both were formerly of Groton.
