Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Convent for Sister Mary Stella 'Mary Ann' Fussy, 65, who died Wednesday at the convent in Little Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight and from 8 a.m. to time of services Saturday at the convent. A wake service will be at 7 tonight at the convent.
Arrangements were made by Shelley Funeral Home, Little Falls.
Sister Stella Fussy was born in Royalton to John and Theresa (Maciej) Fussy. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister on July 31, 1953. She made first profession of vows on Aug. 12, 1955, and final vows on Aug. 12, 1958. She became a licensed practical nurse at North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, N.D. She ministered as a supervisor/prefect of high school girls, religion teacher, house parent to orphans, activities director, nurse, marriage encounter team member, natural family planning instructor, administrative assistant, assistant director of transportation for the Franciscan Sisters and in hospitality. She served in St. Cloud, Alexandria and Little Falls.
Survivors include her mother of Little Falls; brothers and sisters, Theodore of Little Falls, John of Royalton, Joy of Spooner, Wis., Loretta Richner of Elk River, Rita Thielen of Pierz, and Ione Teff of Morrison, Colo.
She also leaves behind her Franciscan community.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel.
