Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church for Adella (Della) M. Salzer, age 80, who died at the Assumption Nursing Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. Senior Citizens, VFW Auxiliary, and Christian Women, will pray immediately following parish prayers.
Della was born in Roscoe, MN to Henry & Anna (Klehr) Haus. She married Marcus Salzer on June 1, 1948 at Holy Cross Church, Marty (Pearl Lake), MN. Adella was a homemaker all her life, and enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, quilting, crafting, visiting, and playing cards with anyone who had time, or a few spare coins in their pocket. Adella was a member of the St. Boniface Christian Women, VFW Auxiliary, Rocori Senior Center, and numerous mission groups and card clubs, locally, and around the area.
Survivors include her five sons: Marvin and Jerry, Cold Spring; Ronald, St. Cloud; James, Rogers; Thomas, Sauk Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers & sister-in-law: Severin Haus, Dorothy Haus, St. Cloud; Virgil Haus, Sun City, AZ; Cyril Haus and Elmer Haus, Pearl Lake. Adella was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldred and Alvin; sister, Irene Garding; and an infant daughter.
