Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Clearwater, for Peter J. Sand, 43, of South Haven, who died Friday, November 21, 2008. The Very Reverend Jacob Yali will officiate. Inurnment will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Family and friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater, and after 9:30 AM on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home in Clearwater.
Peter was born on February 19, 1965 in Rolla, ND To Edmund and Bernadette (Otto) Sand. Pete grew up in Rosebud, and Aberdeen SD. He graduated from Roncalli High School, and St. Cloud Technical College with a degree in industrial mechanics. Pete worked at Creative Memories as a mechanic. His hobbies included fishing, motorcycling, camping, playing with his kids, Scouting, and tinkering. Pete was always available for his family and friends. His family was very important to him.
Pete is survived by: his wife Jeanette; children: Aaron, Evan, Briana; mother Betty; brothers and sisters: Allen (Cherry), Cathy (Fred) Burkhart, Carol (Dennis) Rote, David (Mary), Arleen Sand, Mike, Patty Rodland, Ron (Sandy), Niki Sand, and Ben; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Edmund, sister Theresa Sand, brothers-in-law Jerry Krempges, Rick Rodland, and Mark Carlson. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
