Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, for Marie Schaefer, 87, who died Saturday at Assumption Home, Cold Spring.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. The Richmond Seniors, Catholic Aid and Sts. Peter and Paul Christian Women will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 at the funeral home.
Marie Schaefer was born in St. Paul to William and Bertha Donnelly. She married Leo Schaefer on May 5, 1931, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Munich. She worked as a secretary for Rocori High School until her retirement. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, Christian Women and Catholic Aid.
Survivors include her children, Irene Manuel of St. Cloud, Rose Goebel of Cold Spring, Bob of Golden Valley, Allen of Richmond, Don of Clearwater, and Ralph of Maple Grove; brother, Clayton of Eden Valley; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 5, 1965; and brother, William.
