May 20, 2000 Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church for Agnes B. Zierden, 88, who died Saturday at St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. The Seniors, Christian Mothers, VFW Auxiliary and St. Julian Mission Group will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Cold Spring.
Agnes Zierden was born in New Munich to Mathias and Katherine (Fuchs) Sonnen. She married Bernard "Ben" Zierden on April 12, 1932, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Munich. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Rocori Senior Center, St. Julian Mission Group and a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Richard of Bloomington; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 14, 1980; and brothers and sisters, Peter, Catherine, Alice Athmann, Margery Nathe and Raymond.
