July 16, 2002 Services will be 10:30 a.m. July 19, at St. Mary's Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud for Belle Lanigan age 88 of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, at the home of her son in Buffalo. Reverend Steven Binsfeld will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. The St. Cloud Veterans of Foreign Wars Granite Post #428 Auxiliary will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Belle was born on March 31, 1914 in Lake Henry, Minnesota to Martin and Mary (Reller) Fuchs. She married Philip J. Lanigan on May 18, 1953 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. She lived in St. Cloud all of her married life. Belle was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish and the St. Cloud Veterans of Foreign Wars Granite Post #428 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, James and his wife Marguerite of Kamuela, Hawaii, Richard and his wife Sharon of Coon Rapids, Ken and his wife Terri of Buffalo, Joanne Lanigan of Sand Point, Idaho; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Fuchs of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 6, 1988; one granddaughter, Krista Belle Lanigan; five brothers, Peter, William, Richard, Emmett, and Francis; & one sister, Tillie Fuchs.
