Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of David M. Dockendorf, 49 of Clearwater was held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Clearwater. Reverend Patrick Riley officiated. David fought a courageous battle with cancer and won, peacefully at home with his family on Jan. 9.
David was born on Feb.10, 1957, in St. Cloud, to Norbert and Margaret (Boeckers) Dockendorf. He married Mary Jansky on May 29, 1981, in Clearwater, and together they raised three beautiful children: Holly, Adam and Heidi. David has been a member of the Clearwater Fire and Rescue Squad since 1981, and was currently employed as a bus driver for MTC in St. Cloud.
David is survived by his loving wife, Mary and their children, Heidi, Adam (Nicole Kruchten), Holly (Nick Reyes); parents, Norbert and Margaret Dockendorf; sisters, Doris (Joe Lancaster), Marian (Doug Reek); brothers, Father Ron, Ben (Julie), Daniel, Mark, and Steven; the Gilbert and Irene Jansky clan and numerous friends. David was preceded in death by Max.
