Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church for Clara M. Minnerath, 73, who died Tuesday at St. Cloud Hospital.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Wenner Funeral Home. Seniors, Christian Women, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Cold Spring followed by parish prayers at 8.
Clara Minnerath was born in St. Martin to John and Christina (Arceneau) Blonigen. She married Larry Minnerath on Sept. 6, 1955, in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond. She was a homemaker all her life and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Christian Women, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons, Doris of McFarland, Wis., Mary Hastings of St. Cloud, Kathy Diaby and Sharon of Shoreview, Ione Schmitt and Loren of Cold Spring, and Dale of Sartell; sisters and brothers, Rosa Schefers of Paynesville, Veronica Schlangen of Cold Spring, Christine Maleska of Avon, Paul of Richmond, and Daniel of Monticello; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Mark, Dec. 24, 1982; an infant daughter, Grace; and sister and brothers, Louise Linz, Frank and Clement. Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Foundation for cancer research, Attention: Development Office, c/o Cancer Research, 200 South West 1st St., Rochester, MN 55905.
