Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich for Art Doll who died Wednesday Oct. 1 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday (TODAY) and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. followed by the St. Josephs Mens Society, Lions Club, and the Albany Knights of Columbus praying at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
Arthur Doll was born December 23, 1913 in Lastrup, Minnesota to Peter and Annie (Stroeing) Doll. On July 8, 1972 he was united in marriage to Clara (Burg) Kortenbusch at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Art was a farm hand for many years in the Spring Hill area and lived in St. Martin during that time. For the past 35 years, he has lived in New Munich and had been employed by Worms Lumber as a carpenter. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich, St. Josephs Mens Society, Lions Club, and the Albany Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included fishing, playing cards, and going to the casino to play the slot machines.
Survivors include his step children, Kenneth (Ruth) Kortenbusch of Albany, Butch (Kathy) Kortenbusch of St. Cloud, Stanley (Mary Jane) Kortenbusch of Albany, Renee (Ted) Kemper of Melrose, Donna (Mike) Welle of New Munich, and Judy (Jeff) Klaphake of Albany; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernadine Meyer of Richmond, and Anna Schulte of Upsala; and brother, Peter (Jenny) Doll of St. Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara on January 12, 1998; sisters, Gertrude Welle, Viola Buermann, and Hildegard Doll; and brothers, Alcuin, Herbert, and Eugene Doll.
