Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Anthony, for George N. Moonen, 75, 1021 Midland Ave., who died Tuesday at his home.Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military rites provided by Holdingford VFW.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Home and an hour before services Friday at the church in St. Anthony. Parish prayers will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home in Albany, followed by a VFW prayer service at 8.

George Moonen was born in Krain Township, Stearns County, to William and Katherine (Welters) Moonen. He married Matilda Kunstleben on June 7, 1949, in Melrose. He was a member of Stearns County Pioneer Club, Albany. He was a life member of Holdingford VFW and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony.

Survivors include his wife; sons, William of Rockford, and Michael of Freeport; brothers and sisters, Oscar of Albany, Albert of Bismarck, N.D., Alois of Seattle, Veronica Pastorini and Rose Bowder of Ocala, Fla., Clara Kline of Minneapolis, Sophie McCarthy of Exeter, N.H., and Margaret Jens of Fredonia, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Christine Scherping, Hubert and Norbert; and an infant son, Daniel.
