Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany for Mildred M. Kohorst, who died at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home on Tuesday. Father Jonathan Lacari, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the Seven Dolors Parish Center. Seven Dolors Quilters will pray a rosary at 5:30 PM followed by parish prayers at 6:00 PM Friday at the parish center. Arrangements by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home, Albany.
Mildred was born April 23, 1928 in Albany to Clemens H. and Anna (Buerman) Kohorst. Millie owned and operated Millie's Beauty Salon in Albany until her retirement. Millie enjoyed and had a passion for quilting and needlework. She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and St. Ann's Society.
She is survived by her siblings and spouses, Robert J. Kohorst of Albany, Elmer (Aurie) Kohorst of Albany, Jean Nistler of Maple Grove, LeRoy (Joyce) Kohorst of Albany, Arnie (Sue) Kohorst of Maple Grove, Melvin (Diane) Kohorst of Bloomington, LuAnn (Jeff) Smith of Baxter, Darlene (Frank) Cooper of Baton Rouge, LA, Marlene (Al) Schwinghammer of St. Cloud, and Vi (Joe) Hagman of Boise, ID; sister-in-law, Mona Kohorst of Sauk Centre; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ervin Kohorst; and brother-in-law, Lee Nistler.
