Timothy G. Imdieke, age 46 of Anchorage, Alaska, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 26, 2008.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 10, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Rev. Jeff Ethen officiated with inurnment in the parish cemetery.
Tim was born on Feb. 20, 1962, in Sauk Centre to Robert S. and Mary Ann (Braun) Imdieke. He attended Belgrade High School and graduated in 1980. He then served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, attaining the rank of Major. He attended the Ohio State University earning a masters degree in civil engineering. He served honorably in Germany, Turkey, Greenland, Qatar, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. Tim loved to spend time with his family camping, fishing, playing cards and attending OSU football games and rooting on his Ohio State Buckeyes. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending as much time as he could, hiking and exploring wherever his travels took him. He particularly enjoyed the Great American Southwest and hiked into the Grand Canyon on many occasions.
Tim is survived by his wife, Sally of Anchorage, Alaska; children, Dustin and Jonathan of Phoenix, Ariz., and Patricia, at home, who will miss him dearly. Also surviving, parents, Robert and Mary Ann Imdieke of Elrosa; sisters, Mary Ellen Imdieke of Blaine, Bonnie (Tom) Malterer of Duluth, Norie (Gary) Mohs of Milbank, S.D., Gerianne (Hal) Roadman of Apple Valley, Amy Imdieke of Cass Lake; brothers, Bob (Pam) Imdieke of Big Lake, Rick (Shelley) Imdieke of Chaska, Roger (Judy) Imdieke of New London, Rollie (Kim) Imdieke of Belgrade, Tom Imdieke of New Hope and Todd (Julie) Imdieke of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Pam Imdieke of Woodville, Wis.; mother-in-law, T.C. Buckentine of Elrosa; in-laws, Jim, Barb, Sheila, Joe, John, Mary, Bill and Mike; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by brother, Ron Imdieke; and father-in-law, Willard Buckentine.
Serving as honorary bearers were John Parker, Nick Knight, Paul Wander, Kurt Sedler, Mark Weller, John Latta, Brad Zeigler, Jeff Huffman, Tom Malterer, Steve Saatzer, Chris Hanauska and Tim Hills.
