Robert F. Bob Kinsella, age 81, of Sauk Centre, died April 20, 2006, at St. Michaels Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006, at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and Rev. Todd Schneider officiated. Interment followed in the Calvary Cemetery, Sauk Centre, with military honors by the United Veterans Honor Guard of Sauk Centre.
Robert Kinsella was born May 18, 1924, in Ashley Township, Stearns County, to John and Mary (Krebsbach) Kinsella. He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII. He farmed in Birchdale Township, Todd County, for many years. Robert enjoyed hunting and playing bingo.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers, Gertrude Wielenberg of Sauk Centre; Irene Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Lloyd Kinsella (Bette) of Sioux Falls, S.D., Bernard Kinsella (Mary Lou) of Chenenne, Wyoming, Katherine Schmiesing (Walter) of Sauk Centre, John Berscheit of Sauk Centre and Paul Berscheit (Verda) of Prior Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Casket bearers were Peter Marthaler, Lorenz Marthaler, Thomas Schmiesing, Terrance Schmiesing, Christopher Berscheit and Gary Berscheit. Cross bearer was Kate Banovetz. Scripture bearer was Rose Schlichting. Honorary bearers were neighbors.
