Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2008 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Jerome R. Dingmann, age 78, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Golden Smiles and Catholic Aid at 4:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
Jerome R. Dingmann was born in Farming, MN to Bernard and Theresa (Rolfes) Dingmann. He married Bernie Olmscheid on June 10, 1952 in St. Martin, MN. They were married for 55 years. During his lifetime, Jerome farmed near Farming until retirement in 1998. Jerome was a loving husband and father of seven. He loved spending time with family, friends and his grand-children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, woodworking, watching Twins baseball and gardening with a special love of flowers (red geraniums). He was a member of Catholic Aid and the Farming Sportman's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Bernie Dingmann; children, Gerry Dingmann of Richmond, Judy (Hank) Schafer of Eden Prairie, Steve (Grace) Dingmann of Cold Spring, Bob Dingmann of Richmond, Tom (Bonnie) Dingmann of Albany, Dennis Dingmann of St. Michael, Rick (Lori) Dingmann of Rice; sisters, Verena Schaefer, Rita (Ervin) Silvers; 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers & sister, Tony Dingmann, Stella Brinkman, Edgar Dingmann; son-in-law, Bruce Cesar.
