Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park for Ralph H. Willenbring, age 69, of Waite Park, who passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery in Richmond at 2 p.m. with full military honors. Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. American Legion Post 428 will pray at 6 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Ralph was born on July 30, 1938 in Richmond, MN to Mathias and Anna (Spanier) Willenbring. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until being honorably discharged in 1964. He married Rita Froelich in 196 1. They later divorced. He married Launie Sip. They later divorced. He worked in maintenance at the Albany Nursing Home, moved to Swan River, and then to Bagley where he worked at Bagley Wholesale Lumber. He moved to Waite Park in 1996 where he worked for Sterling Park Health Care and Waite Park American Legion Post 428.
Ralph is survived by his children Judy (Dennis) Voigt of St. Cloud, Dan (Sarah) of St. Cloud, Tim (Sally) of Alexandria, Eric (Tammy) of Sauk Rapids, Barb Willenbring of St. Cloud, Richard (Gail) of Sauk Rapids, Henry (Beth) of Avon, grandchildren Josh, Caryl (Terry), Victor, Savannah, Joey, Trey, Brent, Paul, Katie and Stanley, brothers and sisters Grace (Gene) Schneider of Richmond, Jeanette (Jerry) Wherry of Richmond, Carol (Ralph) Schaefer of Minneapolis, Darlene (Steve) St. Martin of Deer Park, TX, Ann (Bob) Gotfredson of St. Cloud, Gerald (Karen) of Richmond and Ron (Cindy) of Richmond.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Eric, and daughter-in-law Ronda Willenbring. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the loving care Ralph received during his long and courageous battle with cancer.
