Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00pm Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at St. Benedict¹s Catholic Church, Avon, for Alvina B. Beuning, age 89, who died Friday, June 25, 2004. Rev. Blane Wasnie, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Monday at the church, and also one hour before services. Parish prayers will be at 7:00pm. St. Benedict¹s Christian Mothers will pray at 8:00 p.m.
Alvina was born May 23, 1915 in Grey Eagle Township, Todd County, MN to Herman and Agnes (Trobroxen) Roerick. She married Tony Beuning April 8, 1947 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Freeport, MN. She was a homemaker all of her married life. Alvina loved gardening, canning, quilting and her family. She was a hard worker. Alvina was a member of St. Benedict¹s Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid, and Avon Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Tony; children, Marcella (Robert) Irby, Evelyn Budde, Herbert (Laurie) Beuning, and LeRoy (Kathy) Beuning; grandchildren, Jenny, Debbie, Sara, Trisha, Scott, Brad, Matt, Andy, Adam, Jordan, Mike, Amy and John; greatgrandchildren, Brandon and Grant; brothers and sister, Gilbert (Nita) Roerick, Edmund (Dolores) Roerick and Louise Thell.
Alvina was preceded by her parents and brothers Hubert, Henry and Conrad.
