Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 26 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Clarence C. Tomczik, age 84, of St. Cloud who died Monday, November 19 at St. Benedict's Center in St. Cloud. Entombment will take place in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Margaret's and St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Association will pray at 4 p.m. followed by the Waite Park American Legion Post 428 at 6 p.m., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 428 at 6:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Clarence was born May 19, 1917, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Joseph and Anna (Kloskin) Tomczik. He married Irene M. Winter on May 30, 1941, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for DeZurik, Fleming Refrigeration and Trojan Playground Equipment, prior to working as an engineer for School District 742. He retired in 1980. He was a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church, Waite Park American Legion Post 428 and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 428.
Surviving Clarence is his wife, Irene of St. Cloud; children, Gerald S. of Sauk Rapids, Karen Janssen of Santee, CA, Richard G. of Mission Viejo, CA and William L. of St. Cloud; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and sisters, Eleanor, Marie and Regina Tomczik.
