Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich for Beata Schulzetenberg who died Tuesday, October 4 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at PattonÐ Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid Council will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Friday evening.
Beata Schulzetenberg was born March 6, 1916 in Freeport to Theodore and Theresa (Rademacher) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Martin J. Schulzetenberg on October 10, 1939 in Freeport. The couple farmed near New Munich until 1988 when she moved to Sauk Centre. Bea was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with her family and friends. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich, Christian Mothers and Immaculate Conception Catholic Aid Council.
Survivors include her children, Jean Kapsner of Eden Prairie, Dave Schulzetenberg (Dorothy) of Sauk Centre, Judy Eveslage (Jim) of Alexandria, Diane Athmann (Earl) of Minnetonka and Linda Meyer of St. Louis Park; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marina Bertram, Alma Worms (Herb), Richard Meyer (Betty) and Roman Meyer (Rosie).
Beata was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin Schulzetenberg on May 30, 1988; grandson, Jamie Eveslage; son-in-law, Michael Meyer on August 6, 1997; brothers, Norbert, Leo, Edwin and Paul Meyer; and sister, Dorothy Korte.
