Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church for Gertrude M. Arnold, 89, who died Saturday at Country Manor Health Care and Retirement Center, Sartell. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home. Eden Valley Senior Citizens will pray at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Eden Valley followed by Assumption Christian Mothers at 6:30, St. Joseph's and St. Mary's Council of CAA at 7 and parish prayers at 7:30.
Gertrude Arnold was born in Watkins to Martin and Anna (Johannes) Burggraff. She married Andrew J. Arnold on June 28, 1932, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, St. Nicholas. She was a homemaker and lived in the Eden Valley area all her married life. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, where she was active in Christian Mothers, St. Joseph's and St. Mary's Council of CAA, and the mission group. She also was a member of Eden Valley Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, Geraldine Logeais of Alexandria, Va., Alvira of Willmar, Andrew M. of Eden Valley, Kenneth of Plymouth, Duane of Columbia Heights and Sharon Schroeder of South St. Paul; brothers and sisters, Hilda Ralph of Osakis, Eleanor Standish of Minneapolis, Leander of Watkins and Aubrey of Omaha, Neb; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 7, 1976; brothers and sisters, William, Roman, Angeline, Katherine, Alice Dahlgren, Olive Filipeke, Ermalinda Chapman and Josephine Berger.
