A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Joseph T. Ebnet, age 81 of Holdingford will be 10:30 AM Friday, August 20, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holdingford. Joseph died Monday at his home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 PM Thursday & after 9 AM Friday at the church. Arrangements are being made by Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford. Parish prayers will be 6 PM, followed by Knights of Columbus St. Isadore Council #9307, St. Joseph's Catholic Aid, Holdingford VFW, & Senior Citizens praying at 7 PM Thursday at the church.
Joseph was born in Holding Twsp. to Frank & Elizabeth (Vos) Ebnet. He married Adeline Pohlmann on May 26, 1947 in Melrose. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps & served his country for 2 years. Joseph & Adeline farmed together until their retirement. Joseph was director of many organizations, including; director of Holdingford Creamery Board, Stearns County F.H.A., Select Sires, MN Valley Breeders, leader of 4-H Club, president of Country Cousins Square Dance Club, lifetime member of Holdingford VFW, St. Joseph's Catholic Aid, Knights of Columbus St. Isadore Council #9307, Holdingford Senior Citizens, usher & member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Adeline, Holdingford, children, Dale (Lou Ann), Royalton, Donald (Sandie), Holdingford, Marion (Ronald) Leners, Bowlus, Mark (Mary), Joel (Kathy), both of Holdingford, Joyce (Ben) Budde, Avon, Lisa (Dave) Vogel, Melrose, 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings, Clara Donnelly, Lena Domenico, John (Helen), & Elmer (Mary Ann), all of Holdingford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Katherine, infant son, Joseph in 1956, siblings, Mary Zeis, Leo, Ambrose, George, Roman, Nicholas, & Alfred.
